Desmon was the prime murder suspect of three women in March 2020.
The 25-year-old was arrested after Knoxville Police found a woman fatally shot on Division Street near Liberty Street.
The triple-murder trial’s state started questioning witnesses on April 13. Rogers contacted 911 to request assistance on March 8, 2020, the night of the killings,
according to a Knoxville Police Department officer who testified. Authorities believe she was murdered immediately after the call because it was assigned little priority, and she was killed.
Terry Crowe, the responding officer, said he was summoned to Division/Liberty Street, where White’s corpse was discovered.
Crowe searched the house and discovered the dead of Rogers and Blackwell, White’s little daughter alive and a young puppy.
Because he had attended to White’s prowler report the previous evening, according to Crowe, he recognized her. When he responded that evening, he claimed to have discovered nothing.
Trotter claimed that the phone call informing him of his mother’s passing nearly made him revert to the behaviors he had been trying for a decade to escape.
