Netizens think the couple should marry and start their own family. According to Distractify, the couple dated in 2015, one year after Hayley joined Derek and his sister, Julianne Hough, for their 40-city Move Live tour.

Kansas-born Erbert has been dancing since she was three years old. The dancer performed a Paso Doble with her boyfriend, Derek, in Week 6.

In an interview, Derek revealed they spent the duration of the pandemic together in their combined home in California. Despite rumors, the couple is yet to be married.
