Deanna Esmaeel cause of death: What happened to Marty York’s mother?

In a devastating twist of fate, the man suspected of being involved in the tragic murder of Deanna Esmaeel, mother of “The Sandlot” actor Marty York, has been apprehended.

The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office announced through a Facebook post that Daniel James Walter was taken into custody on Friday night, in Curry County, Oregon, in connection with the unfortunate death of Deanna Esmaeel. As previously reported, Deanna, who served as a sheriff’s deputy, was discovered lifeless in her Crescent City, California home.

The day following this heart-wrenching discovery, the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office, where Esmaeel worked, issued a public alert to locate her boyfriend, Walter. Notably, he had legally changed his name to Edward Patrick Davies.

While authorities had managed to track down Walter’s vehicle, the suspect was nowhere to be found at the time. The ongoing investigation was a source of grave concern, particularly for her family and friends.

Marty York, widely recognized for his role as Alan “Yeah-Yeah” McClennan in the iconic ’90s film “The Sandlot,” took to Instagram to commemorate his beloved mother and to seek the public’s assistance in finding her alleged assailant.

“This is the hardest post I’ll ever have to write,” captioned York on Instagram, accompanying a picture of himself with Esmaeel. He continued, “I found out from the sheriff department last night that my mother was murdered by a man she was seeing. The emotions I have are horrible right now between rage, vengeance, crying. There is a nationwide manhunt underway, please, if you’ve seen this man, contact the authorities immediately!”

In the comments section of his post, York shared his raw emotions, writing, “I just want my mom back.”

In the wake of this harrowing situation, York received an outpouring of support from both friends and fellow stars. Danielle Fishel, known for her role in “Boy Meets World,” expressed her shock and love, saying, “Marty, this is unreal. A true nightmare. We love you, and I hope justice is served FAST.”

Jacob Young, from “All My Children,” offered his condolences, writing, “Oh Marty, I’m so sorry to hear this. My wife and I are sending prayers and pray that they get this man and prosecute him to the maximum. Love you, brother.”

Shawna Craig, a former cast member of “Second Wives Club,” reached out with heartfelt words, “I’m so, so sorry for your loss. I can’t even imagine what you are going through right now. Sending you prayers and so much love. I hope this monster is arrested quickly.”

Following the news that the suspected killer was in custody, York expressed his gratitude to all who had supported him during this incredibly challenging time. In his Instagram Stories on Saturday, he wrote, “I want to thank everyone, my friends, the media outlets, the human piece of trash was caught late last night.”
