Dateline: Who Is Kevin Kyne? Diane Kyne Son – Where Is He Now?

Kevin Kyne is Diane Kyne’s son and a suspect in her murder in Seminole, Florida, in August 2010. The cause of Diane’s death is still unknown despite a thorough investigation and conviction.

The upcoming NBC Dateline episode, which airs on Friday, July 29, will focus on the shocking murder of Florida woman Diane Kyne, 49.

When Kyne’s body was discovered, Bill, Kyne’s husband, and Kevin, her son, were present. The murder investigation was complicated by the father’s and stepson’s conflicting testimony.

Dateline: Who Is Kevin Kyne? Diane Kyne Son

Kevin Kyne is the son of victim Diane Kyne, who was recovering at home following brain surgery to remove a benign tumor in 2010 when the incident took place.

Kevin joined the Kyne family in the early 2000s when his mother wed Willam “Bill” Kyne, which led him to legally change his last name from Karakash at 19.

The new family appeared to have a very close bond. That is until the couple decided it was time for Kevin to move out and permanently stand on his own two feet around the summer of 2010.

According to Bill, Kevin’s alleged bad habits, such as a feud with his auntie, allegedly wielding a blade against his mother, and allegedly breaking down doors after being kicked out, were presumably driving factors behind this decision.

Kevin’s mother and stepfather had even taken legal action to kick him out. Still, Diane quickly allowed him to return because he was not only her only son but had also recently undergone surgery for a benign brain lump.

Does Kevin Kyne Have a Wife?

Kevin Kyne’s wife or kids have not yet been mentioned. According to a look at his Facebook, he hasn’t made any marriage-related disclosures.

His Facebook page indicates that he currently lives in Florida’s Madeira Beach. Although he hardly ever updates, his most recent was on May 12.

Kevin Kyne Update: Where Is He Now?

Soon after his arrest in 2010, Kevin Kyne was released from wardship while the investigations continued. Later, after a grand jury named him in 2011, the Seminole Police detained him again.

He was found guilty of second-degree murder in 2012.

His criminal history primarily determined his sentence, the discovery of some of his blood on Diane’s remains, and the testimony of an inmate who asserted that he had confessed.

Nevertheless, this judgment was overturned on appeal because the high court improperly and unfairly permitted the admission of supposedly necessary outside evidence about his prior, bitter disputes.

Later, during his retrial in early 2015, Kevin came clean for the first time and accused his stepfather of killing his mother before allegedly assaulting him.

After attempting to clarify everything with the previous sentence, Kevin said, in part, that Bill was the one who had managed to strip him off of his clothes during their run-in.

The jury found Kevin Karakash, also known as Kevin Lee Kyne, not guilty of murder this time.

After serving four years in a correctional facility, Kevin was granted complete freedom per the judgment.
