Multiple Investigations have been launched in reports to uncover the truth of students from Danvers high school hockey team hazing in a cruel ritual. Here’s the full report to it.
Recently a horrifying story of Danvers high school community has been revealed in the media. As per reports, a hockey player was abused physically and verbally about a year and a half ago.
But no justice was brought upon him, and instead, the leader from the community is allegedly involved in covering up and hiding it from the public.
Danvers High school Hockey Hazing Scandal
The Endicott College has recently announced that Danvers high school hockey team will get banned from using the college’s arena for practice after a bitter truth of the locker room got exposed.
It appears some rituals involving racist acts, was in practice for some time now. And one player came forward to tell the officials in 2019/2020, but no actions were taken.
The player had told the officials that they were pressured to shout racial slurs to each other. In addition, their rituals involved Gay Tuesday and Hard R Fridays.
He also shared how difficult the situation had become then. They were stripped naked in front of the seniors and got assaulted sexually. Also, a secret group for the hockey team was made where players exchanged offensive and racist comments on people of color.
Were The Racist Players From Danvers High School Arrested?
More than half players from the Danvers High School hockey team are allegedly involved in the scandal. And as per sources, three different investigations have been started to uncover the involvements of the players and higher authorities.
Around 16 months ago, a student came out of his comfort zone to inform the Danvers officials, but no actions were taken against such practice. In addition, several people have united in calls for the Danvers officials to resign from their post.
A report state that police were notified earlier, but no seriousness, was seen in their investigation. Moreover, they were seen taking the side of students and calling their actions harmless and childish.
Danvers Hockey Hazing Racism Allegations Explained
On Monday, November 8, 2021, the Danvers school community revealed a report stating the involvement of their hockey team in a racist act.
The allegations trace back to 2019/2020, where multiple athletes seem to have sexually assaulted the junior members. Also, they were forcing the junior players to shout out racist slurs and insults.
In addition, the investigations have revealed that they were active in a secret boy-only chat group. In the group, most members contributed with racist comments on black people, and some also joked about the death of the colored ones.
