An altercation inside the busy Caribbean Love restaurant resulted in gunfire where there were a group of people on the dispatch call on 1602 Eglinton Ave. West shortly before 4 a.m., officers responded to a large gathering.
During the shooting, Daniel shot a fifty-four-year-old male who was then rushed to the hospital, succumbing to his injuries. According to the police, his identification was Michael Barnes, a native of Toronto.
Unfortunately, Michael did not survive and was declared dead. The shooting investigation took almost nine days, and on June 14, 2022, Baugh was arrested and charged with the death of 54-year-old Michael Barnes.
