Who Is Dale Vallely? Abraham Ancer Caddie
The situation with Abraham Ancer’s caddie appears to have altered recently. We observed a difference in 2021 when his customary caddie, Dale Vallely, was not on the bag, claiming immigration concerns back home in Canada, which forced him to sit out permanently.
Ancer has used veteran caddy Dean Elliott (missed cut at the Genesis Open), Roberto Diaz (T18 in the WGC-Workday Championship at The Concession), and eventually coach JP Solis in three starts since Vallely had to take this hiatus at the start of 2021. (T22 at the Players).
The former caddie of Lexi Thompson and Kevin Chappell, Benji Thompson, joined Ancer for the 2021 WGC-Dell Technologies Matchplay. “As far as I understand, it’s a visa issue,” Thompson told The Caddie Network at the time. “But I don’t know any of the facts.” I’m devoted to Abe throughout the duration of our relationship.
