Michael “Dale” Tallon (born October 19, 1950) is a former Canadian professional ice hockey defender and the current general manager of the National Hockey League’s Florida Panthers (NHL). Tallon was chosen second overall in the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft by the Vancouver Canucks after playing junior hockey with the Oshawa Generals and Toronto Marlboros of the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA). He played 10 years in the NHL with the Vancouver Canucks, Chicago Blackhawks, and Pittsburgh Penguins. Tallon started a 16-year broadcasting career with the Blackhawks after his retirement as a player. He started in the front office as director of player personnel in 1998 and worked his way up to general manager. He was the latter from 2005 to 2009, and during that time he helped rebuilt the club into a Stanley Cup champion in 2010, after which he was relegated to assistant GM. He was appointed General Manager of the Panthers in May 2010. Tallon is a well-known golfer who won the Canadian Junior Golf Championship in 1969 and played on the Canadian PGA Tour.
