Cuba Mark Gooding Jr. is an American actor who was born on January 2, 1968. He has been nominated for an Academy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and an Emmy.
Following his breakout performance as Tre Styles in Boyz n the Hood (1991), he went on to act in A Few Good Men (1992), The Tuskegee Airmen (1995), Outbreak (1995), and Jerry Maguire (1996), for which he received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. was accused of allegedly groping a woman’s breast at a Manhattan hotel rooftop bar on June 9, 2019. And further charges were brought later that year for events in September and October.
According to a senior NYPD officer, a lady said that she was at the Magic Hour rooftop club in Times Square when she handed the actor a cup of water since he was very inebriated.
The woman said she was having a chat with the actor when he touched her breasts without her consent, resulting in an “argument” between the two(Daily Beast).
The woman then exited the pub and dialed 911, launching the inquiry.
The criminal case was postponed several times while Gooding’s lawyers unsuccessfully tried to minimize or remove the accusations. Aside from the criminal case, Gooding was the subject of an ongoing lawsuit in which he is accused of raping another lady in 2013.
The actor was first detained in June 2019 after a 29-year-old woman reported to police that he touched her breast at a bar near Times Square. In the months that followed, two more women came forward with their own allegations.
Gooding Jr. was accused of grabbing a server’s buttocks after making sexual remarks to her, as well as physically touching another lady.
However, the actor pled guilty to a single count of forced contact, telling the judge that he “kissed the waitress on the lips” at an NYC club. Cuba Gooding Jr. has agreed to a plea agreement with prosecutors in order to avoid jail time following his arrest on misdemeanor sex assault allegations.
On April 13, 2022, the Oscar winner for Jerry Maguire agreed to plead guilty in Manhattan Supreme Court to one count of a forceful touching. And his sentence would be reduced to a violation and his criminal record expunged if he followed the terms of his agreement.

Is Cuba Gooding Jr. In Jail?
No, Cuba Gooding Jr. is not in Jail. The actor avoided jail time after pleading guilty to one count of forcible touching in a case involving three women who accused him of sexual assault at various New York City nightclubs.
The guilty plea came almost three years after the star was detained in the case, which saw multiple delays as his attorneys attempted to lower or remove the charges.
Previous plea bargaining agreements had stagnated under previous District Attorney Cyrus Vance.
“Today, two of the three charges were dropped, and as for the third case, Cuba Gooding Jr. engaged into a re-pleader. The plea agreement stated his case would be disposed of with a violation, which is not a crime, resulting in no criminal record,” Gooding’s attorney Peter Toumbekis told USA TODAY.
Gooding’s plea agreement includes no prison time. He can withdraw the misdemeanor plea and plead guilty to a lesser infraction of harassment if he continues to attend counseling for six months. He risks up to a year in prison if he does not cooperate.
However, Attorney Gloria Allred, who represents a woman suing Cuba Gooding Jr. in a civil action alleging a 2013 sexual assault, said that she will pursue the civil case in federal court. Allred’s whole message may be seen here.

Cuba Gooding Jr. was married to his former wife, Sara Kapfer and in 1994. They have three children together: Spencer Gooding, Piper Gooding, and actor Mason Gooding.
Kapfer filed for divorce from Gooding in 2014. In January 2017, their divorce was approved.
