Craig Morgan Greer (born July 17, 1964), better known by his stage name Craig Morgan, is an American country music performer and songwriter. Morgan, a former forward observer in the United States Army, started his musical career in 2000 with Atlantic Records, releasing his self-titled first album for the company before the firm’s Nashville branch was closed down in 2000. Morgan signed with the indie Broken Bow Records in 2002, and he has since released three studio albums on the label: 2003’s I Love It, 2005’s My Kind of Livin’, and 2006’s Little Bit of Life. Morgan’s first studio album, I Love It, was released in 2003. Many chart-topping singles were created as a result, including “That’s What I Love About Sunday,” which lasted four weeks at the top of the Billboard country charts and was named the publication’s Number One country hit of 2005. Following that, Morgan signed with BNA Records, where he released That’s Why later that year.
A best hits collection followed in mid-2008 before Morgan departed the company. In addition to being his best-selling album, My Kind of Livin’ has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) (RIAA). Following his departure from BNA, Morgan signed with Black River Entertainment and released his first album, This Ole Boy, in 2012. On the Billboard country charts, Morgan has reached the top seventeen seven times. “That’s What I Love About Sunday” isn’t the only one of his songs to reach the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100; “Almost Home,” “Redneck Yacht Club,” “Little Bit of Life,” “International Harvester,” “Love Remembers,” and “Bonfire” are among the others.
