Erika has experience in the aforementioned position since she worked as a CFO at DGHM & Co. LLC for 20 years.
The businesswoman served as a school board member at the Collier County Public Schools for four years. She previously worked in the education sector as a director of operations and advisory board member at the Mason Classical Academy.
As an education activist, Donalds has been appointed to the Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees. Erika received her BS in accounting from Florida State University in 2002. She completed her Master’s in Accountancy from Florida Atlantic University.
Erika comes from a white ethnic background. Recently, people on the internet attacked her and her spouse regarding their skin color. According to Fox News, Donalds shared a series of tweets regarding the matter.
In one of her tweets, she called out the attackers and mentioned how people can’t see a man of color achieve success on his own merits.

Byron And Erika Have Been Together For Over Two Decades
The Donalds couple exchanged their wedding vows in March 2003. The pair recently celebrated their 20th marriage anniversary on March 15.
The love birds first met each other at Florida State University through mutual friends. The pair became close while they were members of the same business fraternity. They graduated from the university at the same time in 2002.
Their first romantic date was on Valentine’s Day in 2000. The college sweethearts dated for three years before they tied the knot.
In 2022, the pair began their 19th anniversary weekend by attending the dinner at The Mar-A-Lago Club for the Palm Beach GOP Lincoln Dinner. The couple never misses a chance to gush about each other and mention how lucky they are to one another in their lives.
They Have Welcomed Three Children Into Their Lives
Byron Donalds kids include his three sons Damon Donalds, Darin Donalds, and Mason Donalds. Damon is the oldest and Mason is the youngest among the three of them.
Three of them are athletic and are involved in different sports. Apart from being athletic, Darin also has a creative side to him since he is interested in arts and crafts.
Damon Is A Football Player
The eldest son of the Donalds couple plays football at the College of the Holy Cross as a defensive lineman. During his freshman year in college, Damon appeared in three games as a reverse defensive lineman.
Prior to joining Holy Cross, he played four varsity seasons at the Community School of Naples. In his senior year, he was named the team’s defensive MVP.

Byron Was Raised By A Single Parent
Donalds was raised by his mother Meredith Brown in Brooklyn. Meredith works as a professor at the City University of New York.
According to her LinkedIn profile, she is also an assistant principal at the New York City Department of Education. Meredith completed her labor relations studies at Cornell University in 1982.
She received her Master of Science in educational administration from Fordham University and completed her Master of Public Administration degree from Long Island University. As a single mom, Meredith has sacrificed, struggled, and saved pennies to provide for her kids.
