- The citizens of Guinea Bissau can only apply online for a Colombia business visa. The application process is done online.
- The business visa can be applied for multiple entries within six months.
- Holders of the business visa are not allowed to reside in Colombia.
- The Colombia business visa is sub-divided into four types:
- The NE1: is meant for foreigners who wish to gain entry for the sole purpose of conducting business, foster economic exchanges, invest and create business.
- The NE2: allows foreigners to gain entry temporarily as business persons for infrastructure within Colombia which includes free trade agreements, promote businesses, develop investment, and established a commercial presence.
- The NE3: enables foreigners who are government officials to gain entry to promote commercial and economic exchanges in or with Colombia
- The NE4: is for foreigners who are senior executives or presidents of a multinational company in order to invest or generate business.
- The business visa is granted for a maximum of three years.
- This visa is renewable for a period of two years, which only depends on the job contract.
- A letter from a company within Colombia showing it has invited the foreigner for a visit, stating the company as the sponsor and would be responsible for the expenses of the applicants while in Colombia.
- A certificate of existence of the company inviting the applicant for a visit to Colombia is to be provided.

Requirements
- The student visa is granted to citizens of Guinea Bissau intending to study in any recognized private or public school in Colombia.
- The student visa was known as TP-3 visa before the name was changed.
- The Colombia student visa is categorized into; Migrant (V) visa and Visitor (V) visa.
- The M-visa is a visa for students intending to study a degree program such as bachelor program.
- The V-visa is a visa for students who study a non-degree program like studying.
- Both visas can be longer than one year depending on the length of study.
- You are expected to have a valid passport with a minimum of two blank pages.
- Two recent passports taken in a white background is to be presented at the entry of the Colombian port.
- Applicants are to submit a photocopy of the admission or registration certificate issued by the educational establishment.
- Applicants with sponsors bearing their financial responsibility are to provide documents of economic solvency to serve as evidence.
- Minors are required to have a letter of authorization duly signed by the parents of the student who has admission with a Colombian school. It has to be notarized by a Colombian consul.
- Holders of an M-student visa after five years can receive a Residency permit.
