Chad Le Clos is the son of Bert Le Clos and Geraldine Le Clos. Chad Le Clos’s father is a Mauritian who moved to South Africa when he was nine years old. His mother is Geraldine Le Clos, she is of South African descent.
Bert Le Clos became an instant media personality as a result of being interviewed on British television about his son’s achievement in winning a gold medal.
Both parents have been supportive in ensuring that their son, Chad put his best out there.
Getting started at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, held in July and August in Birmingham, England, Le Clos achieved a spot in the semi-finals of the 50-metre butterfly based on his overall eighth rank and time of 23.80 seconds in the preliminaries of the event on day one of competition.
