Candace Monacelli is an American meteorologist who is currently for the Fox 17 News team since June of 2017. Previously, she worked at WFMJ in Youngstown, Ohio bringing viewers along on every adventure and keeping them informed through the storms. She was born and raised in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. There she enjoyed growing up on the lake.
She graduated from Kent State University in May 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. Also, she completed her broadcast meteorology program at Mississippi State University in August 2016. However, she becomes a certified meteorologist. While at Kent State, she held several positions at the award-winning student-run television station, TV2.

When not forecasting, Candace enjoys running, relaxing at the beach. She likes sinking her teeth into every sweet treat Grand Rapids has to offer. However, she joined the Fox 17 News team in June of 2017.

To think she was going to the emergency room for a fever and the flu that wouldn’t go away and 6 hours later She was in emergency surgery due to her Crohn’s not knowing what was truly going on with her.
These diseases can be uncomfortable to talk about but it is important to learn and understand what so many people go through daily. Candace says the hardest part of the whole thing is not letting the disease control you and not looking sick from the outside.
