Baseball has many terminologies which include Bullpen. Bullpen in baseball is the area where relief pitchers warm-up before entering a game.
Bullpen is the area pitchers wait in if they have not yet played in a game. Bullpen is the same area pitchers have their final warmup throws to the game.
The managers are helped by coaches in the bullpen. Managers signal coaches in the bullpen to make a pitcher begin a warm-up toss.
Why PETA Wants It Renamed Arm Barn
Bullpen in normal English refers to the area bulls are kept before they are slaughtered. PETA are advised to change the name bullpen to arm barn because it is a mockery against animals right.
This move is engineered by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals from the Animals Rights Organisation.
According to the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, “arm barn” is more animal friendly as compared to “bullpen”.
