Samuel Animashaun Perry who is better known as Broda Shaggi was born on July 6, 1993, in Ogun State, Nigeria. Not much is known about his mother, however, his late father was a teacher who taught drama in a local school called May Flower Junior High in Ogun State.

As per his educational background, Broda Shaggi graduated from the University of Lagos where he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Arts.

Growing up around his father, Broda Shaggi developed an interest in acting and drama. He got his breakthrough after he got discovered by Nigerian veteran actor Uche Jumbo, who gave him the opportunity to showcase his talent by featuring him in her TV series.

Broda Shaggi, however, rose to prominence and gained the attention of the media after his “Jesus appeared in Mushin” video skit in which he had played the role of an area boy in a Yoruba setting went viral.

The funny video has since spread on all social media platforms and has thousands of views and comments on both YouTube and Facebook platforms.

Not much is known about Brodda Shaggi’s personal life, however, he is currently one of the most influential and popular comedians in Nigeria.

Following a ten-game stint with the Boston Bruins in 2012-13, he signed with the New York Rangers for the 2013-14 season. On July 3, 2014, Johnson left the Rangers organization and agreed to a one-year contract as a free agent with he Ottawa Senators. Aaron Johnson married his wife, Courtney, in August of 2013.
