Bob Lee (CashApp founder) obituary, net worth at time of death

Bob Lee, the creator of Cash App and a senior executive at cryptocurrency company MobileCoin, passed away, the business confirmed to ABC News. He died at 43 years of age.

Lee, a seasoned software expert, served as Square’s first CTO and created the digital payment business alongside former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

Bob was “a powerhouse, a force of nature,” MobileCoin CEO Joshua Goldbard said in a statement to ABC News.

Being a dreamer as a youngster, Goldbard said, “He was designed for the world that is being formed right now. Anything he envisaged, no matter how absurd, he made true.”

Lee worked with Google in the 2000s, where he contributed to the creation of Android.

Requests for comment from Cash App and the San Francisco Police Department were not immediately entertained.
