Big Brother’s George Lamb’s Mum Linda E. Martin Suffers From Arthritis

George Lamb always goes to his mother, Linda E. Martin, when he needs relationship advice. The mother-son duo shares a great bond.

Although Geroge Lamb’s parents split when he was a little child, he still has a close relationship with both of them. Additionally, he frequently takes his mother on vacations to commemorate special occasions like her birthday, which is covered in more detail in the section below.

George Lamb enjoys keeping himself active, packing his schedule with TV, radio, and sports appearances. The Bank Job, Football Tonight, and Big Brother’s Little Brother on BT Sport are likely his most well-known works.

His father is Larry Lamb, a well-known actor and I’m a Celebrity star. But in this article, we’ll focus more on his mother, who has lived a relatively quiet life despite deserving equal recognition.

George Lamb Mum Linda E Martin

Lamb was born in West London to a Scottish mother, Linda Martin from Dundee, and an English father, actor Larry Lamb. He spent his childhood in Fulham. Vanessa Clare Lamb, born in 1969; Eloise Alexandra Lamb, born in 1998; and Eva-Mathilde Lamb, born in 2003, are his three sisters.

There is not enough information about Linda as she prefers to live a private life. However, she has been very supportive of Geroge throughout his career.

Lamb’s career reached its peak when he hosted his daytime BBC Radio 6 Music program for two years, from October 2007 to November 2009. After that, he switched the program to the early weekend mornings for six months until departing the station in May 2010.

His program featured DJ co-host Marc Hughes from the Ministry of Sound, and shock jock humor.

In 2018, George and his father, Larry, returned for the second season of Britain By Bike. The father-and-son team hops on two wheels and begins their national park tour of Britain in the Yorkshire Dales.

They looked at a limestone cliff in Malham Cove that is regarded as the crown jewel of the Yorkshire Dales. In the first season, Larry also introduced him to actor Duncan Preston, who had met them in Appletreewick’s traditional Dales tavern from the 17th century.

She Is Diagnosed With Chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis

In 2018, Geroge Lamb broke the heartbreaking news that his mother had rheumatoid arthritis. It is an inflammatory and autoimmune illness, meaning that your immune system unintentionally targets healthy cells in your body, leading to inflammation (painful swelling) in the body areas affected. RA primarily targets joints, typically several joints at once.

He wrote, “This is my mum Linda. She’s a trooper, and she puts a brave face on it, but she developed chronic rheumatoid arthritis 20yrs ago.”

“She also suffers from fibromyalgia which is basically like having the flu permanently and seems to go hand in hand with many cases of RA, she’s had numerous operations on her hands and feet, and she injects a really powerful chemo drug called Methotrexate every week which also helps combat RA.”

“Up until November last year, she was also taking between 20 – 30 painkillers per week. All the medication was starting to take its toll on her body, so I suggested trying CBD oil.”

“She was a little bit reluctant at the start as she thought it would make her high, but she’s loving it now and reaping the benefits so much, so she’s only had 12 painkillers in the last six months.”

Since then, George has not provided any updates regarding his mother. We hope she has fully healed.

George Lamb Parents Split While He Was Young

Linda Martin was the second wife of Larry Lamb. Larry has been married three times in all.

George’s father had a saddle made for him when he was a child, and it was attached to the crossbar of his bicycle. When George was around three years old, his mother and father realized they couldn’t cohabitate, according to a Guardian interview with his father, Larry.

He was middle class and from the northern outskirts of London, while Linda was an entrepreneur from Dundee. Later, Larry moved closer to them, so they reared George between them, and it appeared that they did a great job of it. George gave his mother the Italy vacation of her dreams when she turned 60.

It was entirely his own doing for him to develop into someone who works in the media. Although his mother and father felt that having one family member employed in the entertainment industry was sufficient, Larry enjoyed it when they collaborated (they co-hosted a one-time live radio show).
