ABSTRACT
This project work is intended to discover the utilization of library materials in Umuchu Otabia Secondary School observation questionnaire and examination of records were adopted as a method data collection. The data gathered show that finance researchers price of book personnel, users education are among the problems facing utilization of library materials in Umuhu-Okabia Secondary School Library, Orlu.
Among the recommendation are provision of funds co-operation among the teachers education of vandalism and thrift improvement of government economic measure.

ABSTRACT
This research on the role of school libraries achieving the objective of the parent institution tends to looks into the role of school library, how they perform their function in other to help the parent institution to accomplish their objectives of which they were established school libraries as the name implies is a library established in either primary or secondary school with the aim of helping the school to achieve its educational goal and other related objectives a school library is an integral part of the institution where it is situated.
The aim of this project is to bring out the functions and the services of those libraries and to bring out some problem that hamped its effective function.
