Kyalo joined Kenya Television Network where she operated as an intern, and was thereafter taken in as a news anchor where she circulated the 9 pm news on Fridays (the Friday Briefing). However, she quit K24 and began her own salon and spa business in Kilimani named Flair by Betty. In mid-2021 she began another business, Aftershave by Flair barbershop and Bk closet. On June 17, 2022, Showmax introduced Kyallo Kulture, a new Kenyan reality series about Betty Kyallo and her sisters Mercy and Gloria.

Prior to moving from her former station, KTN, Kyalo 2018 disclosed details of her new business venture which attracted various reviews and responses from her fans. I also wanted to be a strong woman; I wanted to make something of myself and my daughter. I wanted to start a business because I am young and energetic. But he wanted someone who was chilled; there was the conversation of me quitting my career and just staying at home.
We did not see eye to eye on this. It was a painful discovery, and I knew it was going to hurt once again, but I had to walk. I left with what was mine and gave him what was his and we parted ways peacefully in December 2016.”
