Bebop and Bebe are a mother-daughter team of TikTok creators that have recently come under fire due to the strange nature of their videos.
With 2.3 million followers on TikTok, at a glance, Bebop and Bebe seem like your run-of-the-mill TikTok creators, albeit with a hook. Their hook is that they are a mother-daughter duo.
Their videos consist of the mother and daughter lipsyncing to popular audio and acting out the trend while wearing matching clothes or clothes that follow the same color palette. They also have matching hairstyles, although the mother is blonde while the daughter is brunette.
No one would think anything strange about a mother and daughter simply having fun on a social media app. However, the account has come under scrutiny as internet sleuths have decided that something weird is happening.
Bebop And Bebe TikTok Videos Gone Viral
Bebop and Bebe started their Youtube and TikTok channels in 2018 and have grown into a multi-million follower platform.
The mother-daughter duo film their TikToks in Bebop, the daughter’s room, from an angle slightly taller than both of them. Their trademark is bright colors and heavy makeup worn by each of them.
However, due to the seemingly strange nature of the duo’s content, the comment sections of each of their videos are rife with questions and concerns about Bebop. Almost all of their videos contain comments asking the child to do a specific action if she is being held captive or dressing a certain way.
The account has made no attempts to clear up the misunderstanding and even plays into it. Some people have started to say that the duo is leaning into these claims to gain popularity.
In one of their recent videos, for example, Bebop uses the now famous “Chrissy, wake up” audio which is alarming many people. The alarm is because, in the video directly before this one, one of the top comments had asked the young girl to use the footage if she believes she is in danger.
Many of their recent videos are rife with such accusations. Comments will claim that the child is wearing some apparel or a particular color because a previous comment had asked her to wear it as a cry for help.
It has become impossible to discern if there are genuine cries for help in Bebop and Bebe’s TikTok videos or if they are leaning into the twisted drama as a way to sideline to conspiracy and have fun. Until the creators speak up, there is no way to confirm or deny these allegations.
Bebop And Bebe Mother-Daughter Duo Center Of Conspiracy On Reddit
Whether the mother-daughter duo is playing their audience or not, this hasn’t stopped people from theorizing, and one Reddit user has gone further than most.
In the subreddit r/tiktokgossip, one Reddit user has claimed that in 2018, around the time Bebop and Bebe started their account, a young child named Aranza Maria Ochoa Lopez went missing. The user went so far as to fact-check the dates of the events and concluded that they were a month apart.
He claims that the missing girl looks the same as Bebop, claiming that the missing girl would be close to Bebop’s age in 2022. However, Ochoa Lopez was reported missing on October 25, 2018, while Bebop and Bebe created their Youtube channel in September of the same year.
Such discrepancies have not stopped other Redditors from making more outlandish claims. These claims include exploitation, child pornography, and child prostitution, often with little to no factual backing.
All of these claims stem from the fact that the mother-daughter duo looks a little stiff in their videos, their camera angles, the aesthetic they espouse, and the little girl’s overly cutesy room.
Bebop and Bebe’s Family
Bebop and Bebe’s family consists of them, Bebop’s father and a brother, although the men in their family do not appear as much.
Although Bebop’s father has appeared in a few of Bebop and Bebe’s videos, especially in compilations of family photos, they have not revealed much about him. Bebop’s brother is a different story.
Bebop’s brother, called Peyton though this hasn’t been verified, has his conspiracy. Internet investigators claim that his mother forced him to make videos, like Bebop, but he spoke out against it on the internet.
Because of this, his mother has removed his access to the internet. This claim is not verified and, in actuality, might be a teenage boy not wanting to make TikToks with his mother and baby sister.
