Awake The Rapper, aka Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III, 22, was caught soon before 7 p.m. local time after a brief pursuit about six miles from the shooting. Authorities had been seeking him throughout the day on Monday.

Authorities identified the alleged shooter as a white male with dark hair who was thought to be armed and dangerous.

Law enforcement officers encircled a two-story house reported as Bobby’s residence on Monday evening.

Police cars, including at least one armored vehicle, were parked outside, and media were strictly prohibited from entering the area. According to the nearby eatery Bob’s Pantry & Deli, Crimo’s father, Bob Crimo, owned it.

Is Bobby E. Crimo III A Rapper? The Suspect In The Highland Park Parade Shooting

Bobby E. Crimo III is supposed to be a Chicago rapper under the stage name “Awake the Rapper.”

It has not yet been confirmed, though. Since the rapper shares the same name as the individual described by the police and has matching facial tattoos, they assume the two are the same person.

The rapper has also posted other violent videos, including one in which a man is shooting people with a rifle.

He also shared a clip showing a cartoon character with a rifle and then lying face down in a pool of blood while being surrounded by cops.

The same artist appears to have pasted a photo of a newspaper clipping about the killing of Lee Harvey Oswald. The latter shot President John F. Kennedy with a firearm from an elevated position on his bedroom wall.
