Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson to Star on Netflix Series, Aaron Paul Coming to Hulu

On Netflix’s new series “That ’70s Show” Ashton Kutcher will reunite with his “The Ranch” co-star Danny Masterson. The two will officially be starring and producing the 20-episode sitcom, which the streaming giant has earned a straight-to-series order.

Deadline reports that Kutcher, played by Masterson, will portray a semi-pro football player who returns home to Colorado to run the family business with his brother. The project was produced by Don Reo and Jim Patterson, executive producers and co-showrunners of “Two and a Half Men” who will also executively produce the new season.

Netflix has not made an official announcement about the film, but it is reported that over the course of a year, the streaming giant will premiere it in two 10-episode batches.
Another star, Aaron Paul, also plays a part in an upcoming streaming service series. “Breaking Bad” will direct the former “The Way” star, starring opposite Michelle Monaghan. It was produced by Jessica Goldberg, who, along with Jason Katims and Michelle Lee, will also executively produce the series.

The 10-episode drama focuses on a couple, Eddie (Paul) and Sarah Cleary (Monaghan), with each episode taking an in-depth look at what it means to choose between the life we live and the life we want, at the core of a divisive movement dealing with relationships, marriage and power. When all that he has come to recognize as fact in his life is profoundly questioned, Eddie experiences a crisis of confidence.

Production for a winter premiere this summer is expected to begin. Mike Cahill will be on board for the first episode as the producer.
