Around 8:45 p.m. Friday, sheriff’s deputies arrested Erika Wulff Jones and lodged her into an Austin jail.
According to jail records, Erika is charged with assault inflicting bodily injury to a family member, and refusing arrest, search, or transportation.

Alex Jones, an Austin resident and the creator of the right-wing media company Infowars, refuses to clarify whether he was hurt or expand on what happened Saturday, other than to say that he believes it was related to his wife’s recent medication adjustment.
Jones told The Associated Press in a brief conversation, “It’s a private family situation that occurred on Christmas Eve.” “I adore and care for my wife, and it appears that there is a prescription mix-up.”
The Travis County Sheriff’s Office did not respond to a request for the report on Wulff Jones’ arrest on Christmas Day, and a spokesperson stated she could not offer any other information.
Wulff Jones’ attorney did not respond to a request for comment right away.
Jones filed a lawsuit this week, attempting to have subpoenas issued to him by a House committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurgency at the U.S. Capitol blocked.
Jones spoke at a rally in support of then-President Donald Trump before the incident, and his Infowars colleague Owen Shroyer was charged in August with charges linked to it.
Shroyer has stated that he is “innocent of the allegations.”
Jones stated that his wife’s arrest “doesn’t have anything to do with my politics” and that “it wasn’t some sort of personal hateful thing or anything.”
