It has since garnered numerous awards at renowned film festivals, including the Best of Festival honor at the Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films in the same year. Zabka was later shortlisted for an Academy Award in 2004 for Most Outstanding Live-Action Short Film.
In New York City, Zabka was welcomed into the world by Stan Zabka, a director, writer, and composer, and Nancy Zabka, a business associate, producer, and production assistant.

Additionally, Stan Zabka oversaw the creation of other films, including the Chuck Norris film Forced Vengeance from 1982.
In 1983, Zabka graduated from El Camino Real Charter High School in Los Angeles. He then briefly studied film at California State University, Northridge.
