Former Love Island star Arabella Chi has revealed the harrowing details of a recent robbery, describing the experience as “horrible” and admitting that it has left her unable to sleep. The 26-year-old model was attacked by two men from an organized crime group who dragged her out of her car. The incident took place as she was returning from Ibiza with her father, Paul, following a ferry ride to Barcelona.
During the terrifying encounter, the assailants slashed the tires of her £60,000 car and made off with her designer handbag, purse, and passports. Arabella shared her ordeal with The Sun, expressing the emotional toll it has taken on her. “Reliving it all, I feel physically sick. It was so scary, and I’ve been having nightmares about being dragged out of bed, just like I was from the car,” she said.
The criminals reportedly targeted Arabella and her father after observing them and waiting for an opportune moment to strike. The attack occurred while they were waiting at traffic lights, and the perpetrators approached them under the guise of offering assistance with an electric pump for the car’s tires. However, it soon became apparent that their intentions were nefarious.
Arabella recounted the harrowing experience, stating, “Hearing the doors unlock makes me feel sick. I was terrified. This man was grabbing my arm and pulling me out.” Despite her resistance and creating a commotion, she managed to thwart the attackers temporarily. However, the psychological impact lingered, with Arabella fearing a potential return by the assailants.
Upon her father’s return, they discovered that Arabella’s bag, containing their passports and cash, had been stolen while the second man distracted her during the initial attack. The traumatic incident has since haunted Arabella, leading to nightmares and difficulty sleeping. She expressed that she would avoid the same route in the future and emphasized the need for a different approach to ensure her safety.
Arabella is currently recuperating at home with the support of her family and friends.
