Anya Chalotra family is half Indian so she traveled to India in 2019. Anya stated that she did so to discover her Indian roots.
Anya went to India for the first time in October 2019. According to her Instagram, she went to Jaipur, Rajasthan, and Pathankot, Punjab, taking many pictures of the localities.
In an interview with Vogue India, Anya stated that she spent over two and a half weeks in the country where she went on a seven-hour train journey and saw the beautiful Amritsar’s Golden Temple.
The journey really inspired her as she promised herself that she would take lessons in Hindi, India’s primary language, as soon as she returned to London. Though there hasn’t been an update on that news, it’s clear that Anya’s journey to India affected her a lot.
