Meagan Martin husband Dave Wetmore is a climber and author.
Dave developed his passion for climbing as a teenager. During his younger days, Wetmore used his shed as a platform for climbing.
Dave works as The Boulder Field’s head setter in Sacramento, California. He was appointed in the position of the Director of Head Setter in 2018.
Further, he frequently works as a setter for the SCS Youth National Championships.
Previously, Wetmore was the Director of Routesetter or head setter at the MetroRock climbing gym. He worked for MetroRock for five years, from 2013 to 2018.
Meagan’s partner started as a climber, but his career came to a halt after suffering a serious climbing injury in 2005. Dave underwent reconstructive surgery and stopped climbing for years. He began coaching but resumed his passion for climbing after the wound healed.

Meagan and her partner Dave married at the Glacier Point of Yosemite National Park on October 10, 2021.
The couple’s wedding was a climber’s fantasy as they exchanged their vows on top of a hill.
For the ceremony, the groom dressed up in a black suit, whereas the bride flaunted a white sleeveless gown. The couple wore matching white shoes for the event.
Dave and his wife got married after over a year of their engagement. The pair got engaged on August 4, 2020, at the Lover’s Leap climbing route. As the two had executed their first multi-pitch trade at that point, Wetmore took his partner to the same place to propose to her for marriage.
Meagan Suffered Two Miscarriages In 2022
2022 was not the best year for Meagan and Dave as the couple suffered a miscarriage twice in the same year.
The American Ninja Warrior star shared an emotional Instagram post on new year’s day of 2023, affirming the family tragedy.
As per the post, Martin first miscarried on August 25 when she was seven weeks pregnant. She got pregnant again in October and was hopeful of delivering a healthy child the second time.
However, when she went for an ultrasound in the 12th week of her pregnancy, Meagan found out the fetus had no heartbeat. The second miscarriage was worse as she had nearly gone through the first trimester without any incident.
The couple is currently coping with the loss but has vowed to emerge stronger than ever.
Dave Wetmore Is Three Years Older Than Meagan
Dave and his wife Meagan have an age difference of three years.
Wetmore is currently 36 years old; he was born in Boston on April 18, 1986. The professional climber was around 14 years old when he first started climbing.
On the other hand, his partner Meagan is 33 years old as of January 2023. She was born on September 5, 1989, in Lake Mary, Florida.
Like Dave, Meagan also got involved in climbing at a young age. She eventually pursued a successful career in the sport.
Meet Meagan Martin Parents And Family
Meagan Martin was born to parents of diverse heritage. Her mother Beth Martin is a Caucasian woman, whereas her father Gerald is African-American.
Both of her parents have an athletic background. Gerald is a former gymnast who competed from the Ohio State University and Houston Baptist University, now known as Houston Christian University. For his contributions, Gerald was inducted into the Bobcat Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. He is now a successful realtor in Florida and an occasional motivational speaker.
Likewise, the climber’s mother Beth worked as a gymnastics coach in Lake Mary, Florida. Although she is no longer coaching, Beth is still in shape and regularly takes part with her daughter in climbing.
Meagan is close to her father and mother, who still reside in Lake Mary, Florida.
Other than her parents, Meagan is also fond of her maternal grandparents. She regularly visits them at their home in Livonia, Michigan. Her grandmother Norene Divens is currently 83 years old and remains actively involved in her granddaughter’s life.

Meagan Martin has two sisters in her family named Mikaela and Mariah.
Meagan was born as the eldest child of her parents; hence, both Mikaela and Mariah are younger than the ANW star.
Mariah Martin Is A Former Gymnast
Mariah Martin is a former gymnast who competed for the Lake Mary High School.
Like her elder sister Meagan, Mariah got into athletics at a young age. However, Mariah’s journey in athletics hasn’t been a smooth one.
Mariah showed potential in gymnastics after finishing fourth in the nationals all-around, which made her a candidate to perform at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. However, her dreams were shattered after Martin got diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Hashimoto’s disease.
The illness forced her to step away from gymnastics which led to depression and weight gain. Similarly, on her 17th birthday, Mariah suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon.
As per The Denver Post, the injury further deprecated her health condition. Mariah had to undergo immediate surgery to remove her thyroid.
After taking medications for an extended period and going through several procedures, Mariah finally returned to gymnastics. She competed for the University of Denver and succeeded in becoming the MVP in her sophomore year.

Mikaela Martin Ragnauth Is A Business Strategist
Mikaela Martin Ragnauth, shortly known as Mikaela Ragnauth, is a brand strategist for the Fidelity National Title of East Florida.
Likewise, she is a graduate of the University of Central Florida. While not much about Mikaela’s professional is disclosed, her personal life is visible on her social media.
