Anshu Jain was born on January 7, 1963, in Jaipur, India, to a civil servant father and a mother who’s not known to the public. He was raised in the Jain faith.
He is a cousin of Ajit Jain, Berkshire Hathaway’s vice chairman of insurance operations since 2018. However, not much information is known about his parents as he kept most of such information away from the public.
Jain died of stomach cancer in the United Kingdom on August 12, 2022. He was 59 years old.
Anshuman Jain was an Indian-born British business executive who is best known as the former president of the American financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald.
In 2010, he received the Risk magazine Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as the NASSCOM annual Business Leader Award. At the Economic Times Awards in 2012, he was named Global Indian of the Year by The Economic Times. He received an Honorary Fellowship from London Business School and an Honorary Doctorate from TERI University in New Delhi in 2014.
