She unexpectedly passed away at home, and her bereaved friends and family have paid tribute to the “one in a million” NHS worker.
James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough’s Amber Sugden, a cherished staff and patient, passed away on February 27.
The 24-year-old has been a medical secretary for the past four years, and she even won praise for her dedication to helping others during the Covid pandemic.
The townspeople, who referred to her as the “heart and soul of the celebration” and who “never had a smile off her face,” have been shocked by her passing.
In a difficult eulogy, Amber’s parents, Jo Thompson, and Matty Sugden remembered her as a “girly girl” who loved to help people.
Jo informed Teesside Live: “She was amazing and a stunning woman on the inside and out. She was a hard worker and a party animal. We are in disbelief over her disappearance.
“She had everything in order and was naturally gorgeous. She was an A student who always had her hair and nails done and was very intelligent. She was very amazing.
“From her former employers to her teachers, so many individuals have gotten in touch with her. Everyone who was fortunate enough to meet her has been in touch with us, which is consoling.”
“She was the most giving girl and would do anything to assist everyone. She was completely altruistic and never sought reward; instead, she merely wanted to assist others.”
