Alone Season 8 Winner Clay Hayes Went Back Home To Wife Elizabeth Schultz and Family After 74 Days

Clay Hayes family includes his wife Elizabeth Schultz Hayes and their two sons Coye Hayes and Fen Hayes. Elizabeth is homeschooling her two kids in their farm.

Hayes is best known as the winner of History TV’s survival series Alone season 8.

He competed against ten other participants to win the reality television series putting his survival skills to the test on the eastern side of the Coast Mountains in Canada.

Clay went home with a cash prize of $500,000 after winning season 8 of the show but this was not the first time he tried to survive in the wilderness. Other survival shows like Robinson Crusoe are also popular among the public.

He grew up in the woods of pine trees in Northwest Florida. Growing up, Hayes had honed all the skills required to survive in the wild, and unlike any other child he dreamed of living a primitive life in the Rocky Mountains in his adulthood, according to his biography in History.

Clay wandered off from his dream for seventeen years in total when he studied wildlife biology and worked as one. However, at last, he was pulled into his primitive lifestyle in 2017. He started teaching bow-making skills to other students, the bow master himself had made his first bow in 1999.

In a YouTube video, Elizabeth revealed they are the only ones who moved out of the Florida ranch and the rest of the Hayes clan is still there.

His old folks run a ranch in Florida where they raise animals and live in a barn. The family does come together nicely as Elizabeth claims she loves her mother-in-law very much and does not have a problem with her like the rest of the women might face.

Jill has now taken over the family business and manages the day-to-day operation of Hayes Ranch in Florida.
