Yulen Pereira’s Estudios
The athlete attended the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM), Spain, where he studied Psychology for his higher education. Residing in Las Rozas de Madrid, ESP, Yulen Pereira can speak both English and Spanish.
In his childhood, he also played basketball, but he decided to go with fencing at age 15. He was coached by his father, Manuel Pereira, and another great national fencer, Angel Fernandez.
The right-handed fencer regards his father Manuel and another Spanish fencer, Jose Luis Abajo, as his idol. Pereira is associated with the club “Club Olimpo de Esgrima.”

Yulen Pereira’s Family -Parents And Siblings
Yulen is the son of Manuel Pereira, the 60-year-old Spanish fencer. Manual was the only World champion in épée in 1989, and he became the first Spanish to win a gold medal in the World Fencing Championships.
Yulen’s father, Manual, also participated in the individual and team fencing events at the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics. Currently, he is a coach living his retirement life.
His father inspired Yulen to practice fencing with plastic and foam swords when he was only four years old. Even though Yulen has not revealed anything about having a sibling, it looks like he is the only child. Also, his mother is Cuban.

Yulen Pereira’s Age Height And Weight
Born on July 12, 1995, Yulen Pereira is 26 years old. Born in Madrid, the fencer is 1.85 m tall i.e., 6 feet and 1 inch tall. Similarly, he currently weighs 75 kg (165 lb).
As of now, his main ambition is to compete at the 2021’s Olympic Games, going to be held in Paris. In January 2015, when asked about his core sporting belief, Yulen answered, “If you work hard and never give up, in the end, the results will come.”
