Talking about his husband’s career; Elvis Duran began his radio career in 1987 as an intern at WIOQ in Philadelphia. He was soon promoted to on-air personality, and in 1989 he became the station’s program director. In 1991, he moved to Austin, Texas, where he became the program director and morning show host of KBTS (now KGSR).

In 1996, Duran moved to New York City to join Z100. He quickly became one of the most popular radio personalities in the city, and his show has been consistently ranked as the number one Top 40 morning show in the market.

Duran has won numerous awards for his work, including the Marconi Award for Radio Personality of the Year (2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022), the Radio Hall of Fame Award (2015), and the National Association of Broadcasters Broadcasting Hall of Fame Award (2018).
