Alexander James McLean was born on January 9, 1978, in West Palm Beach, Florida, the USA to parents, Denise Fernandez Solis and Bob McLean.
AJ McLean is the only child of his parents and was raised by his mother and grandparents, Ursula and Adolph. His parents divorced when he was about four years old.
AJ’s mother and grandparents later took him to Orlando, Florida in 1990 so that he could focus better on his acting and singing.
