Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Agricultural Technology under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above Universities include;
Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any other Science subject
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
i) RUGIPO accepts Economics.
ii) FECOFOR-JOS requires either of Biology/Agricultural Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics or Geography.
iii) OKE-OGUN POLY requires Mathematics.
iv) KAD-POLY requires any of Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any one (1) of Physics, Mathematics or Economics as the third (3rd) subject.
v) YABATECH requires Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science and any one from the following: Geography, Physics, Economics and Mathematics.
vi) COLAGRIC-YAN requires Biology and any one (1) of Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geography.
vii) LASPOTECH accepts any three (3) of Biology/Agricultural Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics and Geography.
viii) FEDCOFM-AFAKA accepts Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science.
ix) FEDPO-BAU requires Chemistry and any two (2) subjects from Biology, Agricultural Science, Economics, Geography, Physics, Commerce or Mathematics.
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural Technology;
You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes in Biology/Agricultural Science,
Mathematics and any three (3) of the following:
Geography,
Food and Nutrition,
Economics,
Technical Drawing,
English Language,
Physics,
Chemistry,
Nigerian Language,
Home Economics.
At least ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language and Chemistry are compulsory.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
i) OZORO and COLAGRIC-GAR require at least ‘O’ Level passes in English and Mathematics /Statistics and in addition, FEDAGRIC-IBD requires ‘O’ Level pass grade in Chemistry
ii) FEDAGRIC-AKR requires at least a pass in English Language and Mathematics. Also accepts four (4) ‘O’ Level credit passes in NBTE recognised Pre-ND course offered in a Polytechnic or similar post-Secondary Institutions.
iii) FECOFOR-JOS same as in Forestry Technology.
iv) BUPOLY-HAD – requires Mathematics and any two (2) subjects from Physics, Geography, Biology/Agricultural Science and Economics as UTME subjects.
v) RUGIPO accepts ‘O’ Level passes in English Language and Physics.
vi) IBD POLY requires at least ‘O’ Level pass in English Language.
vii) COLAGRIC-MOK requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Chemistry, Physics and Home Economics as course requirements.
viii) FEDPO-BAU accepts ‘O’ level Credit passes in Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any three (3) from Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical Drawing, Physics, Nigerian Language, Home Economics. Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics are compulsory.
ix) IMO-POLY requires at least ‘O’ Level passes in Chemistry and Statistics. Also requires ‘O’ Level credit in English Language Not Literature in English.
x) FEDAGRIC-IBD requires at least ‘O’ Level passes in English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry.
xi) OZORO requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Chemistry, Biology and Agricultural Science.
xii) OKE-OGUN POLY accepts Animal Husbandry In lieu of Agriculture.
xiii) FEDANIM-VOM – Same as in Animal Health and production Technology.
xiv) KAD-POLY requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English Language and any two (2) of Geography, Food & Nutrition, Economics/Commerce, Technical Drawing, Physics, Chemistry, Nigerian Language, Home Economics, French Language. At least ‘O’ Level pass in Chemistry is also required.
xv) YABATECH requires five (5) O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science and any one (1) of the following: Physics, Geography, Economics, Technical Drawing, Food & Nutrition, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries.
