Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to
apply for a Afghan Visa.
- fully completed and duly signed Afghanistan visa application form.
- Angola Passport with at least six-month validity.
- The passport must have at least two blank pages for visa stamp.
- One (2×2 inch) passport photograph with a white background is required.
- The passport photograph must not be older than six months.
- Uncompleted application or application with missing necessary documents will not be processed and the fee will not be refunded.
- Applicants must strictly follow Afghanistan visa requirements or the application will be rejected.
- Applicants should not sign electronically if the application form is obtained online. The signature must be in the applicant’s handwriting before submitting.
- Documents verifying the applicant’s current address in Angola, such as driver’s license, and utility bills is required.
- All required documents should be translated to either English, Pashto, or Dari.
- Receipt showing the applicant has paid the visa application fee.
- Applicants should provide a bank statement indicating proof of sufficient funds to sustain them during the period of stay in Afghanistan and to return to their country of origin or transit into another country.
- The standard visa processing time for Afghanistan visa is 5-7 business days.
- A police report indicating applicant has no international criminal record.
- A valid travel document, showing entry and exit date.
- Certificate of vaccination showing applicants has no contagious disease.
- The Certificate of vaccination must be issued by the Ministry of Health in Angola.

Tourists should avoid trying to preach to or convert Muslims to other faiths, it is highly forbidden and regarded as a crime. Use and possession of narcotics, alcohol and pork products is a violation of the Afghan laws and orders. Homosexuality is also illegal in the country.

- Official visa is issued to those who are visiting the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to conduct official assignments in the diplomatic and consular missions of foreign countries.
- Visa application form that is correctly filled out and legible.
- The applicant’s passport must be valid for at least six months.
- Two (2 by 2 inches) Passport photograph, one affixed to the appropriate box on the application form.
- Passport photos must be recent and identical, with a light background.
- Issuing of Afghanistan visa for applicants is free of charge.
- The maximum stay required for applicants of official visa is 30 days.
- Applicants must contact the Section of Diplomatic passport and Diplomatic Visa of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs directly through their mission in Kabul, Afghanistan.
- For official visits, please contact your employer to send a letter of introduction with the purpose of your visit to The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Afghanistan for issuance approval.
- This visa is issued for holders of diplomatic passports who intend to travel to Afghanistan. Diplomatic passport holders can obtain this type of visa from the Afghan Missions in Angola.
- However, they must contact the Section of Diplomatic passport and Diplomatic Visa of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs directly through their mission in Kabul.

- Tourist visas are granted to all foreigners who intend to visit family and friends,or for sight-seeing and recreation activities inhanistan
- Applicants with a tourist visa can also visit natural, tourist and historic sites in Afghanistan.
- One completed and signed visa application form.
- Two recent passport size photo that is taken with a white background.
- Valid Angolan passport, for at least 6 months beyond stay in Afghanistan.
- The validity of the tourist visa is for ninety (90) days.
- The tourist visa can be extended only once with the consent of the Afghan Tourism Department. Extension of tourist visa lasts for a duration of 30 days.
- Proof of hotel reservation or accomodation is required.
- Applicants are also required to provide a copy of the flight itinerary.
- A letter of introduction stating whom you intend to visit in Afghanistan for applicants visiting family or friends.The letter should also state the financial responsibility of the Applicant.
- The letter should also describe the purpose of the journey, place, with whom the applicant will be residing, and the residence address during the stay in Afghanistan.
- If tourism is the purpose of the applicant’s visit, it should be stated in detail the nature of tour and places intended to travel in Afghanistan.
- Activities such as business and work are not permissible on a tourist visa.
- Applicants wishing to work in Afghan must apply for a business visa.
Afghanistan Transit Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- Transit visa is issued by the Afghan Missions to Angolans who wants to pass through Afghanistan to a third country.
- A tourist visa is issued to foreigners who pass through Afghanistan with a valid travel document.
- Afghanistan visa application form that is signed and completely filled in all the required fields.
- Application form should be filled in capital letters.
- Present Angolan passport valid for 6 months over the expected stay.
- Recent not-edited color passport photo 3,5 x 4,5 cm taken with a white background.
- The validity of transit visa for air passengers is for three (3) days and six (6) days for those who travel by land.
- A copy of medical insurance issued by the Ministry of Health in Angola showing that the applicant has no contagious disease.
- Applicants can only transit through Afghanistan only once or twice.
- Onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary of the third country.
