As the saying goes, family drama makes the world go round…it doesn’t seem right, but we gonna stick with it anyway? Either way, we’re here to feature a good deal of the family drama as we discover Adele’s father and his relationship with his incredibly famous daughter. Also, it’s not news that the singer likes to keep her family business a secret, we still managed to find a bit of information about them.

Adele’s father
Point to an overly emotional wife and we’ll show you the man who gave her serious daddy issues. In the star’s case, that man is Mark Evans and Adele’s father. He met Adele’s mother in the summer of 1987, when he had just moved to London to work as a window cleaner. According to him, as soon as he saw Penny Adkins, it was love at first sight.
Soon after, they moved in together and gave Adele on May 5, 1988, but by the age of 9 months her parents had already separated. At this point Mark still played a part in his life, although he had moved back to Wales. The death of his father was the cause of the fracture that grew between them.
Mark’s father, John, died of bowel cancer, which broke the young man’s heart to the point that he took the bottle. When speaking to The Sun in 2011 he said: “My alcoholism made Oliver Reed look like a follower, I was a rotten father at a time when she really needed me.”
He added: ‘I put away two liters of vodka and seven or eight pints of Stella every day, I drank like that for three years. God only knows how I survived. I was deeply ashamed of what I would become and I knew the best thing I could do for Adele was to make sure she never saw me like this. ‘
They still have a strained relationship, but due to his own encounter with bowel cancer, the same culprit that claimed his father’s life, Adele’s father claimed they have mended their broken relationship. Which is a big deal, because she apparently once claimed she’d spit on him if she saw him on the street.
In fact, he joined her in the public interview, asking for forgiveness, he admitted that not only had his drinking prompted her to part ways with him, but there was also the matter of an interview in which he gave details of the family’s past. The two allegedly reconciled while her last album, 25, was still in the works, Adele later denied.

Now is the time to move on with the family Adele is very private about her personal and family life and that’s probably why she was so upset when her father brought up personal issues. Anyway, here’s what we might find out about the rest of his family.
Adele’s mother
Her name is Penny Susan Adkins and she gave birth to and practically raised the star on her own. Adele’s relationship with her mother is a stark contrast to her relationship with her father. She has often referred to her mother as her best friend and credits her as one of the influences in her life that led to her success.
Adele loves her mama bear and has often recognized her in some of her songs, such as, Hometown Glory, Millions of Years Ago and her cover of The Cure’s Love Song. It wasn’t all she did for her mum if in February 2013 Adele gifted her mum a flat worth £600,000. It’s a gift fit for a queen.
Adele’s husband
He is not only the star’s husband, Simon Konecki is also the father of her son. The star is an insufferer for keeping her affair a secret and as such tried but failed to keep the fact that she tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend a secret, she eventually admitted the fact that they were hitched during her 2017 Grammy acceptance speech.
The two met through Ed Sheeran in 2011, when she was taking a break from singing due to her throat surgery.
He may not be as popular as Adele, but he does just fine on his own. According to the Sun, he was a director of EBS, a giant Icap trading division, before managing teams of senior brokers at Lehman Brothers. At some point he decided that he was no longer going to work for “the man”, but rather to make the world a better place.
This led him to found Life Water, an eco-friendly bottled water brand in the UK, with his friend Lucas White, which later spawned a charity, Drop4Drop, which campaigns to provide water drinkable in poor countries.
Adele’s son
Mostly she tries to keep her little one from the public as much as she can, yes she is a mean granny and she has lawsuits to prove it. She was 7 months pregnant when she broke the news of her pregnancy and after she was born no one knew her name for months as it was very personal to the star.
Little Angelo was born on October 20, 2012 and almost 2 years later was at the center of a drama-filled courtship. In July 2014, the star filed a lawsuit against paparazzi and was awarded five figures in damages after posting photographs of Angelo the previous summer.
The star had reason to do so as she had previously insisted that Angelo never become public property. The star recently opened up to her fans about how she was raising her son. She said, “I raise him to respect women. He knows that I am a powerful force, he feels it at home, even less when he comes to work with me. And he comes everywhere with me anyway!
There is speculation that she plans to have another child with her husband.
