Legal affairs
On February 18, 2016, Forkner’s girlfriend Christine Messersmith filed a formal report, alleging that Forkner had assaulted her three days earlier. After the Los Angeles City Attorney rejected her case, Messersmith posted a post on Facebook describing the attack, claiming that it “lasted for 15 minutes”. Later in the month, it was reported by LA Weekly that Forkner would not face legal charges.
