89th Grammy Awards: List of Winners Including Adele’s Reaction to Beyonce’s Album of the Year Snub

The UK took first place at the 2017 Grammy Awards with two of its acts standing for the night’s biggest winners.

Adele and the late David Bowie, who died of cancer in January 2016 after releasing his last album, each received five Grammy Awards.

Adele won all five categories for which she was nominated, including the top three Grammy Awards, where she competed against favorite Beyonce.

Beyonce led with nine nominations but surprisingly only won two awards for her “Lemonade” album at the 59th Grammy Awards.

However, Adele credited the singer during her album of the year acceptance speech by saying that Queen B is her idol.

“I may not be able to accept this award, and I am very humbled and very grateful, but the artist of my life is Beyonce. This album for me, the Lemonade album, was just so monumental and so well thought out and so beautiful and soul-forsaken .”

“The way you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel, is so powerful. I love you. I always have and always will. “

The 28-year-old singer intentionally damaged the trophy so the two stars could share the honor as Beyonce and almost half the audience shed a tear.

Grammy Awards night was packed with everything from talks to political statements to emotional tributes to George Micheal and funk music legend Prince.

Beyonce gave a stunning visual performance showing off her pregnancy and talking about the beauty of childbirth.

There were also performances from John Legend, Demi Lovato, Lady Gaga, Kay Perry, The Weeknd, Daft Punk and Chance The Rapper.

Chance The Rapper won best rap album despite not having a record deal. He benefited from the Grammy Eligibility Change, which allowed only streaming releases to be considered.

“I want to thank God for my mom and dad who have supported me since I was little, for Kirsten, for Kensli and for all of Chicago, and I want to thank God for bringing great people into my life.”

“This is for every indie artist… yell to DJ Drama… yell to Soundcloud… it’s another baby!”

Late Late Show host James Corden hosted the ceremony, replacing five-year-old host LL Cool J.

Corden hosted his viral karaoke series featuring artists including Jennifer Lopez, Tim McGraw and John Legend on a cardboard card.

Beyonce’s young daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, stole this segment when she jumped in to sing along.
