Marriage, at least in Africa, is a union of holiness and sanity, a stage of life that only qualified people aspire to. Didn’t think the time would come when anyone would use the term “absurd” for someone else’s wedding. Marriage should be serious business; as such should be treated with a certain degree of maturity; with strict and sincere care. In general, Africans take marriage seriously, so it’s quite funny to consciously wonder if their marriages were arranged for fun or experimentation. Reports have registered charades of marriages in Africa. I thought we were a conservative people, but recent events have challenged that assumption.
1. One man, three women
Marriage to a woman is serious business, but when there are 3 women at the altar, it is very serious business. I know that Africans are traditionally polygamous, but no man has ever been known to marry three women peacefully in a church. I thought Christians were strict about the one man one woman formula? The pastor must be a traditionalist in cassock. How is that even supposed to work? Did you never think that women have become so generous as to share their spouses with not just one but two other ladies? They must be made of real material. and should definitely consider the idea of terms and conditions to make things work relatively well. Digesting the fact that more women are desperate for husbands, Doesn’t that really explain one man in front of three women? Sounds like a suicide mission. Aside from the fact that these women are deaf, dumb, or likely zombies, their household is a potential time bomb. Which pastor or priest even performed this wedding? I’m wondering if he had a gun to his head when he said yes to the arrangement, or did they show up independently on the same day? Well, they seem sane and calm enough to suspect anger, but whatever, that’s ridiculous! did he have a gun to his head when he said yes to the arrangement, or did they show up independently on the same day? 2. Mister Wed’s mister
This is Africa’s first traditional gay marriage, long before Americans even legalized it. In 2013, two South African men, Thoba Sithole and Cameron Modisane, got together as husband and husband (sounds weird). They had a traditional ceremony in the presence of hundreds of spectators who exchanged their marriage vows. They planned to overcome the difficulties and have children through a surrogate. However, they divorced in 2015, and irreconcilable differences arose upon inquiry. As long as this is Africa, gay activities and affairs remain absurd and illegal in some countries. Africans define marriage as a union between a man and a woman or women, as the case may be, but never between people of the same sex. It is ridiculous.
3. Eight year old groom to a 61 year old bride
Extremely ridiculous! Never heard or seen child abuse celebrated with such grandiosity. If there’s anything I know about raising children in Africa, it’s the somewhat dictatorial relationship, which isn’t bad, but at least you get more NO’s than yes’s, why? because your parents know better and want the best for you. So far it has mostly worked. Looking at this picture now, I’m wondering which of the parties is crazy. When an eight-year-old wakes up and tells you stories of ancestors and their demands to appease them, demanding that he get married at his age, you know it’s just this kid stuff that needs admonition or even better advice, most often for this area, the church .
Funnily enough, the parties involved and their families seem happy with the development. After tying the knots, this odd couple came back a year later to renew their vows at Ximhungwe in Mpumalanga, South Africa. This is so incredible and beyond my imagination. Where I’m from, kids that age have no idea what you’re talking about. When it’s not school, birthday/Christmas/school parties you speak gibberish. They just want to go to school and be happy. And here we have a 9-year-old testifying to his love for an already married woman with children in her 20s and 30s. In her words she says:
“One day Sanele would grow normally and have a family of her own and one day get married. This whole ceremony is to make the ancestors happy. We play.”
I told you I’m not sure who’s crazier than the other. I bet some of her kids aren’t married yet. In fact, getting married at an “adult age” still sounds unbalanced, much more so a child little older than a toddler. Of all the toys in the world, they decided to literally play the game of marriage, how sad. According to reports, Sanele Masilela and Helen Shabangu do not live together. Do you have a marriage certificate or do you want to be a functioning married couple? The marriage ceremony was to please the ancestors by Christian means, what a tragedy. The local community in Tshwane considers this despicable. Whatever happened, getting engaged to someone and seeing how things work out as they grow. How superstitious can you get? Helen’s longtime husband Alfred Shabangu, 66, says he’s ok with the arrangement and I still wonder where sanity went. Either he’s lying or he just doesn’t care.
4. Manchester themed wedding
Each wedding planner – professional or otherwise – will have a theme in mind when putting the details together. He’s up to something that fits the occasion. This Kenyan couple probably wanted to show their patronage to their international football club, so the groom swapped his traditional suit for a Man U shirt. I just wonder what this ad will add or do to his marriage. In any case, this seems to be just for fun.
5. Married to the dog?
Bestiality through all ramifications! Have humans become so unreliable that anyone would settle for a dog? And I mean that literally, a dog, like Bingo the dog. I thought the leotard was unsuitable for a wedding no matter how in love she is but with this level of madness I think the Kenyan man is super good to go. Many people can handle it, but tying the knot with an animal is simply inconceivable. How could anyone do that? Reports have revealed that 29-year-old Emily Mabou, from Accra, Ghana, has married an 18-month-old dog because “the dog exhibits qualities she has only seen in her father.” She blames the root cause of the crime on the several unreliable men she has reckoned with in the past. What can loneliness and despair not do to people? The lady’s embarrassed family did not attend the ceremony, saying it was a rather silly way to deal with her loneliness. I’m sure her late father was a father. How on earth does this dog become the father of her children? This is as funny as it is serious because it tells a lot about the psychological state of the lady, who might as well portray a whole bunch of lunatics dreaming up the same thing.
Well, marriage has a formula, one plus one, equalWhen this woman married her dog, she automatically became a dog. Why would anyone ignore the beauty of being the supreme of creations just to stoop to the level of a dog? She implicitly claims that all the men she dated were dogs. Because of this, she chose the real, typical dog. what does she do And why does she have to constantly win over dogs? She obviously has a psychological situation for which she should seek help and not tie the knot with a dog, an increased psychological complication.
