At this time and age, every parent is wary of the environment in which their children are growing. Therefore, it becomes important to ensure that they live a good life, free from any form of spiritual distortion and without any negative influence from peers or unworthy role models.
But the reality remains, no matter how hardparents work to raise their children to be people of noble character. These children still have a role to play. Knowing that parents do not go to school with their children, parents should always work hard to walk the right path they are trained to avoid everything to excel in achieving your goals in school. Take a look at the types of campus personalities to keep yourself in check if you’re looking to survive campus life.
1. Run From Guys With No Job
Not only for the ladies but also for the young girls and boys entering the university should avoid mingling with unemployed students. And by job we don’t mean an occupation in which the man earns money, but people without a focus. There’s a good chance this guy is on the grass too. Anyone who falls under this category of campus personalities never attends a lecture. He spends most of his time in a strategic place in the school where he can watch girls and make inappropriate and vulgar comments. Mixing with a guy like that automatically destroys your reputation and your vision. To protect yourself inside and outside the school, you should keep such people a few feet away.
2. The guy who always smokes marijuana
Shrug from a guy who is always puffing on his marijuana or feasting on some laced products. This guy’s just like the unemployed guy on campus. He never goes to class. If he ever leaves, he’s lost and can’t even tell what’s going to happen. You are so unreliable. If he can’t get you to smoke, he’ll probably blame you one day. He could keep his contraband with you to hide you or accuse you during the exams. And when you live with this guy, you get regular welcomes, and strange people knock on your door at odd times. Plus, no amount of air freshener is going to stop your room from smelling like a weed farm all the time.
3. The Born Again Freak
Don’t get it wrong, but while engaging with various campus personalities, a born-again fanatic should always be avoided. While it’s good to live the good life on campus and fear the god you believe in, bigotry can be depressing, especially when trying to pressure others to join the same religion. People like this criticize your dress, your friendship with the opposite sex, how you walk, what you say, in fact everything you do is against their beliefs. They will do anything to convert you to their own beliefs, even if you tell them that you cannot change your beliefs much. You will never give up and sometimes you think that you are wasting time in your faith and that you are already going down the gates of hell with the devil to do some of the exercises in your church. And if they have your number, they’ll keep sending you messages reminding you that if you don’t join their services, you’re going to hell.
4. The Emerging Girl
Avoid the girl that pops up everywhere. The guy who leaves the room at 10pm every day dressed to show body parts tempting men and returning drunk very early in the morning. Unless you are a girl you absolutely must join because you will never beat this guy. But if you think you can overcome this type of girl, be ready to wake up odd hours of the morning whenever she’s back or stepping out of the house, like it or not. And what about your privacy? You might get dressed right after bathing in the bathroom without having to dress in the open air because it’s also likely that several men including dark-skinned, fair-skinned, short, tall, in fact all categories of men, are always visiting. Your room is looking for them. There will never be a shortage of men in your room. So forget about being free in your room like you normally would if you were living with a more reserved girl.
5. Know-it-all or do-it-all and master of nothing.
Among all campus personalities, there is always one such person for every class at the college. The student who is often certain they are smarter than the rest of you and possibly more than the professor. It should be for him to have his master class instead of sitting in class with an unintelligent bunch like all of you. This guy gets into a long debate with the lecturer when you’re about to break. He’s the type that also asks for extra hand if you want to start with the first question. And when he does, he’ll make you feel tense and scared because you haven’t started while he’s already rounding off. Be afraid of such people, you will only feel less than yourself and could never work hard to do better,
