Margaret Thatcher, the British “Iron Lady”, was undoubtedly one of the most iconic politicians of our time. Mrs Thatcher was the first woman to lead government in a Western democracy that had a reputation for not only being tough, but possibly tougher than any man who had ever held the position.
With her words, she comforted an entire nation in the wake of terrorist attacks and as a spur to millions of women around the world to take charge of their destiny with words during their time, she launched a war and defeated their opponents.
Margaret Thatcher was one of Britain’s longest-serving Prime Ministers, at 11 years and 209 days, making her the longest-serving Prime Minister of the 20th century.
In memory of them are here:

It is the wish of the British people and the duty of Her Majesty’s Government to do everything possible to uphold that right. That will be our hope and our aspiration, and I believe the determination of every Member of this House. “
